The Rolling Stones in The Holy Land!
Now that's a sentence most of us thought we'd never see or hear!
But proving that miracles do happen, The Stones will make their Israeli debut
in Tel Aviv's Hayarkon Park arena on June 4th. Shuki Weiss, an Israeli promoter, called it "a historic moment".
"I have no words to describe the enormity of this event," said Mr Weiss.
"It's a huge honor to bring the Rolling Stones to Israel, an honor for the country, the citizens, and mostly for the fans who have waited for this moment."
Israel’s commissioner for tourism for North and South America, Haim Gutin, said “We are thrilled to announce the first-ever performance in Israel by one of the most influential musical groups of all time . . ."
I think all those prayers for the Stones to perform in Israel have finally been answered. Hope my prayers to meet them (and get them to read my book) are answered too! Clearly, if the Rolling Stones are playing the Holy Land, anything is possible!
